This instant and longlasting hydration means skin feels soft and comfortable all day long. In the epidermis, natural skin hydration occurs at several levels: In the skin barrier, the corneocytes are often fused by a lipid junction system (intercellular cement) which constitutes a protective wall responsible for defending the body. It is reinforced by the presence of an invisible film on the skin's surface that consists of a mixture of water and lipids called the hydrolipidic film. In the horny layer, water binds to Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) which act as sponges by retaining water in the corneocytes. Therefore, the skin's hydration level results from the balance between water intake, capture, retention, and evaporation. How to Use: Apply to the entire face, neck, and décolleté area. Leave on for 15 minutes. Lather with cold water and rinse off using moistened nonwoven gauze pads. Avoid contact with eyes. For external use only.
