Inspired by vintage rugs handwoven in the ancient city of Khotan and designed with wave and fret patterns or flowering vines, the Cortona Rug's intricate motif has been modernized yet still tells a story all its own. Following a technique and tradition dating back thousands of years, each handknotted rug can take two to three master weavers five to six weeks to complete, depending on the size and intricacy of each rug. Every rug is designed to wear beautifully over time, making them heirlooms to be passed down for generations.
