On all burns thereafter keep the wick trimmed to 1/4". If the wick "mushrooms" this indicates that it needs to be trimmed. Ensure that the wax pool remains free of wick trimmings and debris and that the wick remains centered at all times. Light candle on a heat resistant surface within sight and away from drafts, children, and pets.
