DESCRIPTION
Michael Aram's limited edition sculptures are handmade artistic explorations inspired by objects and ideas which capture Michael's imagination. Each signed and numbered sculpture is limited to 500 editions, each individually crafted so that no two pieces are ever exactly alike. There is a majestic old magnolia tree behind my townhouse in New York City. Originally, the gardens behind the row of houses were combined and planted as an arboretum. The magnolia had survived and now nobly towers over several yards. Although I love when the tree is in bloom, I am particularly fond of bringing beautiful branches into the house once the tree is pruned. Each Michael Aram metal object undergoes a series of grinding, buffing, and polishing techniques. Variations or 'imperfections' in the product's finish are characteristic of the creation process. Due to this handmade nature, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Handcrafted of natural brass. Wipe with soft cloth. Do not clean with any chemical solvents. Approx. 19.5"L x 19"W x 16"T. Imported.
